PM Modi meets May and Prince Charles, to meet Queen Elizabeth: Top updates

"Very welcome to London, Prime Minister," British Prime Minister Theresa May said as she greeted PM Narendra Modi, who arrived in a Tata Motors Range Rover.

Modi, on a five-day tour of three European nations, on Wednesday expressed his pleasure, and said: “It is a matter of happiness for me that I will get to interact with people here on the birth anniversary of Lord Basaveshwara.

PM Modi added: “I’m confident that new energy will be added to our ties after today’s meeting. I’m happy that UK will be part of International Solar Alliance; I believe this is not only a fight against climate change but also our responsibility for future generations,” according to ANI updates.

I hope we can work together for the people of both India and the UK, said British PM Theresa May.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met Prince Charles at London Science Museum, where he was to attend an exhibition on '5000 Years of Science and Innovation', in London.
